Director of Bands
Luzviminda S. Pascasio is in her twenty-fourth year of teaching but her second year as Head Band Director at Danny Jones Middle School and Mary Lillard Intermediate in Mansfield ISD. Before MISD, she taught seven years at Kennemer Middle School/STEAM Academy in Duncanville ISD. Ms. Pascasio was the 2019-2020 Duncanville ISD Secondary Teacher of the Year, Kennemer’s campus Teacher of the Year in 2018-2019, and a Music & Arts Educator of the Year Finalist in 2016. In 2017, the Symphonic 1 Band was named a 3C State Honor Band finalist. Prior to Duncanville, Ms. Pascasio taught seven years in Argyle ISD and was the Color Guard Coordinator. She is grateful for her successful journey there especially as an assistant director of the UIL 3A State Champion Marching Band in 2008, 2010, and 2012. Before Argyle, Ms. Pascasio taught three years in Lindale ISD and was actively involved with the Wind Ensemble’s TMEA 3A State Honor Band experience in 2006-2007. She started teaching in Crosby ISD where she spent three years as an assistant director. Throughout her career, Ms. Pascasio’s bands have consistently earned superior ratings at UIL contests and festivals.
In May 2001, Ms. Pascasio graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University earning her Bachelor of Music Education degree. She is thankful for working with many influential colleagues and inspirational mentors.
Ms. Pascasio enjoys playing clarinet in the Mansfield Wind Symphony and values being an active mentor, clinician, and judge. During the summers, she works independently as a drum major instructor and leadership coordinator.
Her professional affiliations include Women Band Directors International where she serves as MS Editor and Texas Chapter President, Phi Beta Mu, Texas Music Adjudicators Association, Texas Music Educators Association, and Texas Bandmasters Association.

Associate Band Director
Isaac Galvan is in his 4th year of teaching as the Associate Band Director at Danny Jones Middle School & Mary Lillard Intermediate in Mansfield ISD. Prior to Danny Jones, Mr. Galvan was the Head Band Director at Mary Lillard Intermediate School where he taught the 6th grade Leopard Band & beginner brass classes.
Mr. Galvan is originally from Mansfield, Texas, where he graduated from Timberview High School. During his time as a student in MISD, he was an All-State french horn player.
He received his Bachelor's in Music Education from the University of North Texas.
While in college, Mr. Galvan performed with many different ensembles; While at UNT, Mr. Galvan played French Horn with the Wind Ensemble, Brass Band, & Concert Band under the direction of Dr. Nicholas Enrico Williams. While in the Wind Ensemble, Mr. Galvan had the privilege of being in a recorded album titled “Fiestas” by the University of North Texas Wind Ensemble, available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Pandora.
Mr. Galvan was also an integral member of the UNT “Green Brigade” Marching Band, serving as a Drum Major for the 2018 Marching Band & Football season.
During his brief time at Stephen F. Austin State University, he played French Horn with the SFA Symphony Orchestra and the SFA Wind Ensemble under the direction of Mr. Fred J. Allen.
Mr. Galvan was also involved in the marching arts, having marched as a Lead Mellophone in Drum Corps International (DCI) with the Boston Crusaders in 2017 placing 6th in the DCI World Championships Finals.
Before joining Mansfield ISD, Mr. Galvan worked in Lewisville ISD as a marching band instructor for the Flower Mound High School Band. During his time with Flower Mound, the group was the BOA Dallas Champion and a BOA San Antonio Super Regional Finalist.
Mr. Galvan is an active member of Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) & Texas Bandmasters Association (TBA).
During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, running, watching movies & TV shows, (he has every streaming service) and playing and watching sports, (specifically the 5 time super bowl champion The Dallas Cowboys & and the 2011 NBA Champions, Dallas Mavericks).

Associate Band Director
Mr. Carlos Lopez is excited to continue his 3rd year of teaching career at Danny Jones Middle School in Mansfield ISD.
A native of Mansfield, TX, Mr. Lopez graduated Summa Cum Laude from The University of Texas at Arlington where he received his Bachelor of Music Education. While at UTA, he was a member of the Concert Bands, The Symphony Orchestra, The UTA Trumpet Ensemble, Mav Brass (Basketball Band), and served as a section leader in the UTA Maverick Marching Band. He studied Trumpet under Dr. Rick Bogard, Wind Conducting under Dr. Douglas Stotter, and Instrumental Methods under Mr. Jeffrey King.
Prior to his appointment at Danny Jones Middle School, Mr. Lopez student taught at Lake Ridge High School and McKinzey Middle School In Mansfield ISD under the mentorship of Brad Bonebrake and Eric Bolden.
While at Lake Ridge, Mr. Lopez conducted the Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, and Wind Symphony. He was also a Marching and Visual Technician during the competitive season, where the Lake Ridge Band Advanced to the finals of the Area B Marching Contest. While at McKinzey, Mr. Lopez worked with the Beginning Band, Symphonic Band, and Honors Band. During the Spring, Mr. Lopez co-conducted the Symphonic Band at the UIL concert band and sight-reading contest, earning Sweepstakes during the schools Inaugural year.
Mr. Lopez’s professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Band Masters Association, Young Band Directors of Texas, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.

Percussion Coordinator (Lake Ridge Cluster)
Andrew Pouttu is very excited to be starting his fourth year of teaching at his alma mater, Lake Ridge High School. Mr. Pouttu holds a Bachelor’s Degree in music education from Texas Christian University where he was awarded the coveted Nordan Young Artist Scholarship as a Freshman. During his time at TCU, Mr. Pouttu performed in many ensembles on campus including the Wind Symphony, Orchestra, Jazz Band, Steel Band, Marching Band, and various Percussion Ensembles.
Mr. Pouttu taught the last two years as the Director of Percussion at North Mesquite High School, Vanston Middle School, and McDonald Middle School. Prior to that, Mr. Pouttu spent the Spring semester of 2019 as the Assistant Percussion Director in Cleburne ISD where he taught percussion for grades 6-12 and was the private percussion instructor for the District. Mr. Pouttu has also worked as a percussion technician for many band programs in the DFW area.
Mr. Pouttu resides in Mansfield, TX with his dachshund/chihuahua, Gertie. In addition to teaching and performing, he enjoys fitness, the outdoors, refurbishing percussion instruments, and America's Team–The Dallas Cowboys.
