Director of Bands
Luzviminda S. Pascasio is in her twenty-fifth year of teaching and her fifth year as Head Band Director at Danny Jones Middle School and Mary Lillard Intermediate in Mansfield ISD. Before joining MISD, she taught for seven years at Kennemer Middle School/STEAM Academy in Duncanville ISD. Ms. Pascasio was named the 2019–2020 Duncanville ISD Secondary Teacher of the Year, Kennemer’s Campus Teacher of the Year in 2018–2019, and a Music & Arts Educator of the Year Finalist in 2016. In 2017, the Symphonic 1 Band was named a 3C State Honor Band finalist.
Prior to her time in Duncanville, Ms. Pascasio taught for seven years in Argyle ISD, where she also served as Color Guard Coordinator. She is grateful for her journey there, particularly as an assistant director of the UIL 3A State Champion Marching Band in 2008, 2010, and 2012. Before Argyle, she spent three years teaching in Lindale ISD and was actively involved with the Wind Ensemble’s TMEA 3A State Honor Band experience in 2006–2007. Ms. Pascasio began her teaching career in Crosby ISD, serving three years as an assistant band director.
Throughout her career, Ms. Pascasio’s bands have consistently earned superior ratings at UIL contests and festivals.
She earned her Bachelor of Music Education degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in May 2001. Ms. Pascasio is grateful for the many influential colleagues and inspirational mentors who have shaped her teaching journey.
Ms. Pascasio enjoys performing on clarinet with the Mansfield Wind Symphony and values her role as an active mentor, clinician, and judge. During the summers, she works independently as a drum major instructor and leadership coordinator.
Her professional affiliations include Women Band Directors International, where she serves as Middle School Editor and Texas Chapter President, as well as Phi Beta Mu, the Texas Music Adjudicators Association, Texas Music Educators Association, and Texas Bandmasters Association.

Associate Band Director
Mr. Carlos Lopez is proud to begin his fourth year of teaching at Danny Jones Middle School and Mary Lillard Intermediate in Mansfield ISD. He currently directs the Symphonic Band at Danny Jones and has earned superior ratings at UIL every year since joining the program.
A product of Mansfield ISD, Mr. Lopez is a graduate of Mansfield Timberview High School. He earned his Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Texas at Arlington, where he studied trumpet under Dr. Rick Bogard and performed with the University Concert Ensembles, Symphony Orchestra, UTA Trumpet Ensemble, Mav Brass, and served as a section leader in the Maverick Marching Band.
Mr. Lopez is currently completing his Master of Music Education degree at Southern Methodist University. He lives in Arlington, TX with his fiancée Skylynn and their daughter Gianna. In his free time, he enjoys lifting weights, hiking at Cedar Ridge Preserve, spending time with his family, and watching movies.
His professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, Young Band Directors of Texas, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.

Associate Band Director
Dorian Holley is beginning his first year of teaching as associate band director at Danny Jones Middle School & Mary Lillard Intermediate in Mansfield ISD.
Mr. Holley received his Bachelor's in Music Education from Texas Christian University, where he studied bassoon under Charles Hall, conducting under Mr. Bobby Francis, and educational pedagogy under Dr. Laura Singletary. While at TCU, he played bassoon and trumpet in many ensembles such as the Wind Symphony, Symphony Orchestra, and Sangre Royal de TCU Mariachi Ensemble. He was also a Trumpet section leader in the Horned Frog Marching Band.
Before teaching at Danny Jones, Mr. Holley completed his student teaching in his home district of HEB ISD at Central Junior High and Trinity High School. Under the direction of Jacob Groening and Christopher Kanicki, he received quality experience instructing beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
His professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association and Texas Bandmasters Association. In his free time, Mr. Holley enjoys being outdoors mountain biking, hiking, and playing pickleball. When not outside, he is gaming and spending time with his two cats Scotty and Rolo.

Percussion Coordinator (Lake Ridge Cluster)
Andrew Pouttu is very excited to be starting his fourth year of teaching at his alma mater, Lake Ridge High School. Mr. Pouttu holds a Bachelor’s Degree in music education from Texas Christian University where he was awarded the coveted Nordan Young Artist Scholarship as a Freshman. During his time at TCU, Mr. Pouttu performed in many ensembles on campus including the Wind Symphony, Orchestra, Jazz Band, Steel Band, Marching Band, and various Percussion Ensembles.
Mr. Pouttu taught the last two years as the Director of Percussion at North Mesquite High School, Vanston Middle School, and McDonald Middle School. Prior to that, Mr. Pouttu spent the Spring semester of 2019 as the Assistant Percussion Director in Cleburne ISD where he taught percussion for grades 6-12 and was the private percussion instructor for the District. Mr. Pouttu has also worked as a percussion technician for many band programs in the DFW area.
Mr. Pouttu resides in Mansfield, TX with his dachshund/chihuahua, Gertie. In addition to teaching and performing, he enjoys fitness, the outdoors, refurbishing percussion instruments, and America's Team–The Dallas Cowboys.
